Nike Zoom LeBron V Black/White/Red (R)Evolution »

The Black, White and Crimson Nike Zoom LeBron V – the shoes, which many have been waiting for – will hit the stores on February 8th. Usually the Black/White/Red colorway is the first to drop, but this season Nike tried a different approach and released the Navy colorway first just like in the case of LeBron’s summer shoes Zoom Soldier and Zoom Soldier II. Actually this popular style has had many different implementations. The very first version featured Black and White upper with White toebox and Red outsole (1). The second one had a Black outsole (2) and the third one took it further with different upper material and black outsole with some eye-popping glitter (3). The fourth and the final version, which is the actual releasing one, is the same as the third with some additional red stitching on the back and star-shaped holes on the strap instead of the usual square-shaped ones (4). By the way, although the shoes release in ten days you can preorder them on eastbay.com ($140, shipping on 2/8, don’t mind the wrong catalog pic!) or order on pickyourshoes.com ($130, in stock!).

Nike Zoom LeBron V New York Yankees Showcase »

New pics of the Yankees Nike Zoom LeBron V recently hit the Net, the shoe which we mentioned here on several occasions. The ZLV NY Yankees features a navy wool upper with white pinstripes, half-white-half-navy patent/phyposite toebox, and a white heel. The tongue on the the “Yankees” V features a baseball diamond with number 23 on front, a crowd cheer “Le-Bron Jam-es, Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap” on the back and the label under the strap reads “Fresh for ’08. The Collectors section is being constantly updated so remember to check it out once in a while. Over the last ten days four new collectors agreed to share their photos of their beloved Nike LeBrons. Among the new pages there are: Terapins03 with a couple of rare PEs, Tak8255 who is a proud owner of an autographed by LeBron James Nike Zoom LeBron IV, T21D who along with his friend MKnight took some really inspiring photos, and last but not least dOubleO whose photo skills and amount of heat are off the charts. Showdowns between two superstars like Kobe and LeBron are as refreshing as walking into an air conditioned room on a scorching summer day. Kobe Bryant vs. LeBron James, the marquee showdown of today, is perhaps the most electrifying one to date. It’™s a matchup that guarantees high-flying jams and acrobatic moves and plays. On Sunday in front of a national audience, these two phoenoms gave everyone a special Hollywood treat. LeBron, who leads the league in scoring, racked up 14 of his game-high 41 points in the fourth quarter to help the Cavaliers rally from a late nine-point deficit and defeat Kobe’™s Lakers, 98-95, in Los Angeles. James wore his soon-to-be-released Black, White and Red Nike Zoom LeBron V for the second time this season. Check out numerous pics below as they are the best look at the new V’s so far. New Nike Zoom LeBron V “Mr. Basketball” wallpaper »

LeBron James Voted Eastern Conference 2008 All-Star Starter »

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has been voted as a starter to the 2008 Eastern Conference All-Star team by the fans, it was announced today by the NBA. James, with 2,108,831 total votes, was the second-leading vote-getter behind Celtics forward Kevin Garnett. “It means a lot to me,” James said. “I work hard every summer to prepare myself to go out and play the game at a high level like I do every night and it’s recognized by the fans. The fans recognize the way I play the game and approach the game every night and I appreciate them for once again voting me as an All-Star starter. It’s going to be exciting.” He joins Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Yao Ming as the only players who have been selected as starters for each of the last four All-Star Games. In 36 games played this season, James has averaged 29.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 2.03 steals per game. He leads the NBA in scoring and ranks eighth in assists per game and steals per game. James is currently on pace to join Michael Jordan (1988-89) and Oscar Robertson (five seasons) as the only three players to ever average at least those numbers in a season. The 57th NBA All-Star Game will take place in New Orleans, LA on Sunday, February 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Check out the new 2008 NBA All-Star jersey below.
