Nike Zoom LeBron V China edition showcase »

It looks like Nike is going to continue the successful tradition of releasing a Nike LeBron China exclusive every year. Although last year’s “China” embodied the country though it’s colorway and packaging, this year’s “China” not only features the “China” Red/White colorway, but also, very intricate traditional Chinese stylized lasering. The “China” ZLVs feature a Chinese Dragon lasered on the toebox and an intricate Chinese landscape, which includes the Great Wall of China, lasered throughout the heel. USA Basketball photo recap: U.S.A. vs Venezuela »

United States rolled to a 112-69 victory over Venezuela on Wednesday night in its opening game of the FIBA Americas tournament. Four All-Stars fired perfect passes to each other, ending when Kobe Bryant turned LeBron James’ behind-the-back toss into a dunk that brought the loudest cheer of the night. Just like that, the Americans had shown a glimpse of what they think U.S. basketball can look like again. “The tournament’s going to get a lot harder than we had tonight, but as a team I think we played well,” James said. “We shared the ball well. We did everything that we needed to do to win a basketball game.”

Event recap: 08/21/07 Las Vegas ZLV Summit »

This week Nike and LeBron James kicked off the official unveiling of their upcoming Nike Zoom LeBron V at the Nike LeBron V Media Summit in Las Vegas. LeBron and sneaker designer Ken Link come in and sit at the podium to talk about the inspiration behind the new design which is basically an homage to LeBron’s upbringing and his love for the game. The main feature everyone was feeling was the map of Akron, Ohio, on the shoe. That was inspired by 6th-grade Bron vowing to put his hometown on the map some day. When Link was talking about the technical performance aspects of the LeBron v, Bron cut in: A lot of the words he’s using are college words. Behind closed doors he uses high school words so I can understand. When I asked LeBron if players compare signature kicks, and he said, “It wouldn’t be fair.
