New Nike LeBron WITNESS campaign »

Nike announced the introduction of a new Witness integrated marketing campaign celebrating superstar LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and his rise to prominence as he makes the first NBA Finals appearance of his career. The expanded campaign includes digital, print and television advertising and grassroots marketing. The Witness campaign pays tribute to James and acknowledges the legions of fans worldwide who are “witnessing” his greatness, power, athleticism and beautiful style of play. Nike is giving an opportunity to share your own WITNESS story on inside.nikebasketball.com and win the new WE ARE ALL WITNESSES promo poster. 2007 NBA Finals photo recap: practice on 6/6 »

Check out all the photos from the Cleveland Cavaliers practice on Wednesday prior to start of the 2007 NBA Finals. Game 1 is Today (9 p.m. ET). During practice LeBron James wore the Zoom LeBron IV Remix colorway, which he hasn’t used in this year’s playoffs. We know many people have complained about King James not wearing the Playoff release in the actual 2007 NBA Playoffs, however, we just have to make our peace with the spectacular premiere of the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier on the biggest possible stage. Nike Zoom Soldier information »

Today we would like to share with some exclusive information about the upcoming Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier – LeBron’s post-season weapon of choice. We were able to talk with one of the sample testers about his first-impressions. As expected the shoes perform very similar to its predecessors Nike Zoom 20-5-5. The Zoom Air implementation is almost the same as is the total weight of the shoes, which are about 0.4oz (10 grams) heavier than the 20-5-5 and of course much lighter than the Zoom LeBron IV. Supposably the fit of the shoes is very small so please take that into your consideration when it will come to purchase. King James has been wearing the Soldiers in every single game during the playoffs. He used only 2 colorways (White/Gold and Navy/White/Gold), however, he is reported to wear the Black/Gold version in the NBA Finals. By the way, in order to celebrate LeBon’s recent achievements Nike is planning to re-launch the WITNESS campaign including print and television marketing.

LeBron’s NBA debut – 10/29/2003 vs Sacramento »

Tonight LeBron James is going to make his first ever NBA Finals appearance. After only 4 years since he had joined the Cleveland Cavaliers he was able to guide his team to the biggest stage of basketball. As King James prepares for the finals, we look at the start of his career that got him here – his very first NBA game. On October 29, 2003 LeBron scored twenty-five points, nine assists, six rebounds and four steals in a loss to Sacramento. It was the most points ever scored by a prep-to-pro player in his debut game. It was also the initial appearance of his first signature sneakers Nike Air Zoom Generation. On his debut NBA match-up LeBron wore the White/Black/Red colorway and one week later (November 5, 2003) he introduced the First-Game AZG – the First-Game stands for the date of his first ever NBA home game in Cleveland.
